A Little Bit About Me...
Based in Napier, Hawkes Bay, New Zealand - in the heart of Wine Country and Art Deco Capital of the world. I live with my patient husband (handcrafting jewellery can be very time-consuming!) and two lovely sons.
I began my love affair with jewellery design and making several years ago after a visit to a local bead shop for my niece's birthday.
Having never taken a formal class in design, I prefer to use my own creativity peppered with techniques I have learnt from some of the fabulously talented jewellery designers in NZ - Amanda Dick and Nia Glain Hodgson being two of my favourites.
Inspired by the beautiful and varied landscapes of Hawkes Bay from the Pacific Ocean with it's rugged beaches, to the rolling hills, I like to experiment with different mediums and styles one of my current passions being embellished paua shell with it's gorgeous depth of colour.
I enjoy keeping in touch with my client base via my website, Facebook page, and blog, but also love the personal contact that local quality art and craft markets provide.
